Dr. Sokol Todi receives grant from The Kennedy’s Disease Association

Congratulations to Dr. Sokol Todi for receiving a grant from The Kennedy’s Disease Association.

The grant, in the amount of $200,000, has been awarded to Dr. Todi and his collaborators to advance research in spinal and bulbar muscular atrophy, also known as Kennedy's Disease.

Dr. Todi will partner with MPIs Andrew Lieberman and Sami Barmada at the University of Michigan, Diane Merry at the Thomas Jefferson University, and Xavier Salvatella at IRB Barcelona to identify the cellular machinery that degrades polyQ AR and to investigate how transcription condensates influence protein aggregation in SBMA.

These complementary MPI projects aim to uncover therapeutic targets for Kennedy’s disease.
