Biography
Bridget earned her B.S. in Biology from Wayne State University and M.S. in Clinical Molecular Genetics from Northern Michigan University.
She joined the MICR Core in 2024, having previously worked in the medical device industry as a product support specialist. She comes in with an extensive background in troubleshooting and problem solving. Prior to her time in the medical device industry, she spent 8 years working in Ann Schwartz’s lab at Karmanos Cancer Institute, where the focus was on the genetic epidemiology of lung cancer.
In the MICR core she is part of the team that is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the microscopes. She is also responsible for the satellite locations and training users.
