Areas of Research
PFAS, a major environmental toxicant group, has been found to accumulate in the bone microenvironment. Bone is a major site of metastasis for different types of cancer, including prostate cancer, but the effects of PFAS on the bone in relation to cancer are unknown. My project aims to determine how PFAS-induced changes in the bone microenvironment promote growth and survival of metastatic prostate tumors.
