It is with very much sadness that I write to let you know of the passing of our dear colleague, Dr. Bonnie Sloane. 

Bonnie, who was a Distinguished Professor of Pharmacology and a former Pharmacology Department Chair, passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve surrounded by her family. Bonnie’s mentorship and leadership has left an indelible mark in the careers of many of us. She will be long remembered for her important contributions to the scientific field, her mentoring of numerous scientists all over the world, and her important role in building and leading our department.
