Dr. Joongkyu Park has been selected for the 2023 NARSAD Young Investigator Grant. His proposal entitled “Dendritic protein synthesis in aversive memory” aims to investigate the roles of dendritic protein synthesis in a post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) model (fear conditioning of mice) using the novel molecular tools his research team has developed to control compartmental translation. His team will investigate changes in the formation of new aversive memory and the maintenance of pre-formed memory in mice.
